Personally selected in Türkiye

Artisan Turkish Scarves

These artisan Turkish scarves are a small collection I choose in person in Türkiye, picked for fabric, drape and color. I bring the same eye to them that I bring to choosing wood.

Where they come from

Chosen by hand in Türkiye

I select each scarf myself on trips to Türkiye. I choose for fabric, finish, color and drape, one piece at a time, rather than ordering a catalog line. If a piece doesn’t feel right in my hands, it stays behind.

The collection is small, and it changes with each trip. When a scarf sells, the same design may not come back.

That is the same way I treat lumber in the shop. I would rather bring home a few pieces I am sure of than a stack of anything that is merely fine.

Gifting

A gift that pairs well with a board

Scarves are easy gifts for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, thank-yous and retirements: light to ship, useful year-round, and personal without needing a size. They also make a thoughtful thank-you for a host, a teacher or a colleague.

Paired with a handmade cutting or serving board, they make a gift set that combines two traditions: textiles from Türkiye and woodworking from Georgia.

A simple way to match them: dark walnut sits well beside ivory, camel and coral, while pale maple sets off black, navy and cobalt. Cherry, which deepens to red-brown over time, suits charcoal, taupe and sand. Tell me the occasion and I will suggest a pairing.

Why these scarves

What makes artisan Turkish scarves special

Chosen in person

Artisan Turkish scarves here are picked one at a time on trips to Türkiye, never ordered from a catalog. Each is chosen for fabric, finish, color and drape.

Small batches

Only a few artisan Turkish scarves come home from each trip. When a design sells, it may not return.

Gift-ready

Light to ship and personal without a size, artisan Turkish scarves pair naturally with a handmade cutting or serving board.

Many ways to wear

Wear one as a light wrap over a jacket, a head covering, or knotted loosely at the neck. Good artisan Turkish scarves move easily from everyday wear to a dinner or a wedding.

How to ask

Send the name of the scarf you like, the occasion, and whether you would like it paired with a board. I will reply with what is on hand now and the fabric details for that piece.

Gift sets

A scarf and a small serving board make a balanced gift: one soft, one solid, both chosen by hand. Tell me the budget and I will suggest a combination that fits it.

Care

Caring for your scarf

Ask me about the fabric and care instructions for the scarf you choose. Care depends on the material, so I will share the details for that piece before you buy.

Availability

Limited pieces. Ask about current stock.

Because I choose each scarf in person, stock is small and doesn’t follow a restock schedule. Message me to ask what’s available now, and I’ll tell you what I currently have on hand.

If a scarf in the photos catches your eye, mention its name, such as the Charcoal Geometric or the Black and Coral Abstract. I’ll confirm whether it is still available and suggest a board to go with it.
