Handcrafted Cutting Boards in Georgia
Koshur Chaan Woodworking LLC makes Georgia Grown cutting boards in a one-person studio in Johns Creek, building hardwood cutting, charcuterie and serving boards for kitchens across north Atlanta and beyond.
The studio
Built in Johns Creek, used everywhere
Every board is built by hand from black walnut, hard maple and cherry. Ishtyaq Qadri (Wosta) founded the studio in 2015. Boards start at $50 and are priced by wood and size.
Customers in Johns Creek and nearby towns can pick up at the studio by appointment, and I ship anywhere in the U.S.
What I build
I build edge-grain cutting boards, charcuterie boards and serving boards in walnut, hard maple, cherry, or a mix of them. I don’t make end-grain boards or offer engraving; custom work focuses on useful sizes, wood combinations, edges, juice grooves, handles and feet.
Every piece is milled, glued, sanded, oiled and checked in my Johns Creek workshop. Browse the handmade boards → · See custom board options → · Read the board care guide →

Georgia Grown
Georgia Grown cutting boards
Koshur Chaan is a member of Georgia Grown, the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s program for Georgia-made products. That membership is why I call these Georgia Grown cutting boards: made in-state, by hand, one at a time.
Why choose them
Why choose Georgia Grown cutting boards
Made in-state
Georgia Grown cutting boards from this studio are built in Johns Creek from black walnut, hard maple and cherry. Nothing is outsourced or mass-produced.
Easy to get
Pick up in Johns Creek by appointment, or have your board shipped anywhere in the U.S. Customers come from Alpharetta, Suwanee, Duluth, Atlanta and beyond.
Gifts with a story
Georgia Grown cutting boards make thoughtful housewarming, wedding and closing gifts, especially for someone who loves buying local.
Food-safe finish
Every board is finished with food-grade mineral oil and beeswax board butter. No varnish, lacquer or polyurethane.
Custom sizes
Tell me where the board will live and how you cook, and I’ll suggest a size and wood. Plan a custom hardwood board.
Built to last
With hand washing and monthly oiling, a hardwood board lasts for decades, and a light sanding brings it back when it’s worn.
How it works
Ordering from a Georgia studio
Start by describing the board you want: the size, the wood and how you plan to use it. I reply within one business day with a quote and an estimated finish date, and you pay nothing until you approve it.
Most custom boards are ready in about two to four weeks after the details are approved. Before a board ships, I send a photo of it so you can see exactly what is coming.
Pick up at the studio in Johns Creek by appointment, or have your board shipped anywhere in the U.S., packed with care instructions. Either way, Georgia Grown cutting boards from this studio come straight from the person who made them. If you are not sure what to order, describe the kitchen and the cook, and I will recommend a board that fits both.
